Question:
My license has been suspended for the last 6 months. I Need a license to get to work and the DUI programs that I have to do. I got a paper from the DMV saying i could apply for one, and what i would need would be sr22 and proof of liability. Do i need to have insurance to have sr22? What if i dont own a vehicle? I need to purchase a vehicle, but I would need a license to buy a car, how would i be able to do this? Someone told me I could get a motorcycle sr22 just to get my license out of its suspension, and then simply keep that one and just "borrow" a car from my dad or so. Can anyone help me out with this issue.

SR-22 is a filing by your insurance company that you have liability coverage for at least the minimum in your state.
purchase a non-owners sr22 filing. when you get your license reinstated you could endorse a vehicle onto your policy. It is true that motorcycle insurance is consderably lower than regular atuo insurance, however it is in your best interest to be listed on any auto insurance policy that has a car that you are using.
