Question:
I always opt for fully comprehensive insurance with protected no claims. Unfortunatley, my car was wrote off and I have since been paid out. Would I still have to declare this with a new insurer even though my no claims bonus was protected. The accident Was my first in 22 years of driving and was totally unpreventable and not really my fault although technically I had no where else to go apart from in the back of the taxi driver who decided to slam on in front of me. He is well known for this by the way! Can anyone shine some light on this for me please.

I have a suspended license in NY, there are fines/tickets that need to be paid.?
Unfortunately yes, you will definitely have to declare your accident. I've had the same problem recently - use confused.com for the best quote - it worked for me (and no, I don't work for them!)How long doe it take to process a first provisional licence?
hi really depends if you are in usa or uk - as im in the uk - these sites would probably help - as your no claims was protected i should see no reason why you need to declare this accident-for competitive prices you should check out
confused.com
then insure supermarket.com
then compare the market.com
this will and should find you the most competitive insurance renewal quote - i hope this helps
Can you drive an automatic if you passed your test in a manual car.?
If you run into the back of someone it's your fault as far as insurance companies are concerned regardless of how often this taxi driver has done the old slam on trick. (they argue you should have been further back - Keep your distance and all that!) You must declare this to any new insurance company, failure to do so will mean your insurance is invalid in the event of any future accident (regardless of fault) Remember all the insurance companies talk to each other (honour among thieves I suppose). Why do you want to change companies, because you no claims was protected your renewal should not increase too much. Any new insurance company will not be interested in the fact that you protected with someone else. Either stay with your current insurer or take the extra premium on the chin.Sorry it's just the way it is.
I got ticket tonight for failing to stop for a stop sign. do I need to tell my insurance company?
Its always best to be honest. Some companies will not charge if the damage is less than $1000.00. Every state and every company are different, but the accident would be on your driving record and a CLUE report that the company will order. If you buy a new car in New Hampshire..?
If you hit the car in front, you were travelling to close, I know that no one ever does leave a good braking distance, but re accidents of this kind, the highway code is God. You must declare your accident, also the new Ins. co. will ask your old company for your history. Why do you want to change anyhow?More Questions & Answers ...
