What all is involved in claiming Total Loss to a vehicle?

Question:
My car was scraped against a pole while maneuvering out of the way for other vehicles in a parking garage. The estimated repair cost is probably worth the same amount (or more) than my vehicle. I'd like to claim total loss, but I don't want to end up paying ridiculously high premiums. Should I just lower my insurance coverage and live with the damage?

Answers:

What type of license for a trike?

You don't "claim" total loss, you turn it in to the insurance company and they will make decisions as to fault, and whether or not the vehicle is totaled. Once that decision is made, you can discuss options and possible outcomes with your agent.
