Most car parks these days have warnings posted to say that "Parking is at your own risk" and depending on whether you were at fault or not and whether the design or layout of the car park was to blame you may be available to claim on your insurance. You should note that if the accident was caused by someone (you included) ignoring or transgressing the normal rules of the Highway Code and safe driving these rules still apply. How much is a usual van insurance in the uk?

Is this rear ender a Hit & Run in Florida?
Can't speak for the U.K., but here in the U.S. you can if you have the right insurance. If all you have is liability coverage your car is not covered, but if you have collision your car is covered any time you get in an accident, and if you have comprehensive your car is covered for things like dents from shopping carts, cracked windshields, etc. Also, there are many businesses in the U.S. who put up signs saying they're not liable for any damage caused in their parking lots, but we've learned not to believe what we read -- American law, which is based on British Common Law, recognizes that the property owners ARE liable in some cases. Simply posting a sign saying one is not liable doesn't make it so. Talk to your insurance provider -- I'm betting he/she will say you can file a claim. How will my auto insurance claim work out?
Yes you can.You pay insurance for any damage done to your car! Go for it!
yes you can
Yes you can, I don't know why people are waffling on about liability, you didn't mention it. If you've got fully comp, most certainly you can claim, that's what it's for, it doesn't matter where you are.
