Question:
Hi all. Hopefully a really quick question:
My wifes car is in the garage being repaired for a break in. We have been given a rental car under insurance while its in the garage.
This morning we awoke to a puncture. Am I liable for this. If so, should we get the puncture sorted ourselves (ie repair or replace the tyre) or should I let the garage who the car came from sort it out, and bill us?
Which insurence company is making 3rd party insurence for knetic honda scooter model 1996.?
When the car was given to my wife she declined the offer of insurance on the rented car. I am not sure if this would have covered us in the event of punctures, I think this was mainly for damages to the car.

Pay to fix it yourself, and don't tell the car-rental company you did it -- they may want you to buy a new tire if you tell them.

Tyres are never covered on auto insurance policies. Best to sort it out yourself, or else you will be at the mercy of the garageWell, normally the insurance on your own vehicle will extend to the rental. However, most insurance policies say that damage to tires alone are not covered. They would only cover a tire if it were damaged with something else (you had an accident and went up on the curb and damaged the tire, rim, wheel). So you should arrange to have that fixed yourself since you declined insurance on the rental and yours will most likely not cover it.
