In New York State can an owner & registrant?

I know that registrant must be the insurer. but Can't I own a car and let my daughter register it? And what if it was a repo that they never came to get? (Or is this considered stolen?) there is a judgement but they left the car> What am I suppose to do with this vehicle? HELP

You can't own it and her register it. It doesn't work like that. If you have a judgment against you already for the car, then the car is fine. It won't be considered stolen, the repo guy would've taken it a long time ago. But for the future of your credit, I would fix that judgment b/c it stays on your credit for 20 years and is renewable.

She will have to register it to insure it. There should not be a problem.
