Your photocard changes from green to pink. What colour is the new paper counterpart that they return to you? Also points won't be removed even old ones unless you pay a fee?

Answers:

Expired driving licence?

Points will only be removed once they become expired and you have to pay a fee for a replacement licence. Most driving offences become invalid after 3 years and expired after 4 years. Drink or drug related offences are invalid after 10 years and expired after 11.

If I file a claim with my car insurance, Do I have to make th repairs?

I don't think that Welsh Lad is correct, the subroutine to remove expired endorsements should be invoked every time a new licence is printed. If you're having one printed for a change of address or to add a test pass, they should be removed as a result of that and you pay the fee, if any, appropriate to that transaction. If there's no other reason to print a new licence other than to remove expired endorsements then you have to pay for a replacement licence. At least that's how it was when we wrote the system.

I was in a car accident, should I go to the hospital?

If you have a legitimate reason to be issued with a new licence (change of address or change of category ect) then the new license will be issued without the points that have expired, otherwise the new licence will be issued with the points on it.
Otherwise you have to pay a fee to get a licence reissued with points removed (once they have expierd) .

Points will automatically be removed if they have expired, no cost to you. This also applies if you simply change address.

Counter is always green, if the points expire and you need to licence back they will be removed automatically, you only pay if they expire and you choose to send it back for removal of points!
