my insurance company state farm and a lawyer I know say without the insurance code on the police report they can not find the persons insurance information to fix my car.
The worst thing is I got rear ended.

2. If the police took info at the scene there will be a report, you can ask the police for a copy of that report. If you took the info yourself and didn't write down all the appropriate information, you've learned an expensive lesson. If you didn't take down personal information about the other driver from their licence and proof of insurance, you have no proof they were in the accident accept your word. If they have already had their car fixed, it's gonna be harder to prove.
3. Here, the police suck too, they won't come to an accident scene unless someone is injured. For the $25 million we pay per year to have them they should be kissing your feet at every fender bender.
