need to call in for a claim soon so it can be investigated. We had it towed to a repair shop we have used before. This all happened today on a sunday. The Car seems to have a complete broken tire and will not drive at all. It is front wheel drive. 2000 alero if this helps we really need to know if we need to call the insurance co now or first get a estimate? we used aaa road service to get it towed . Sorry the first question was not well written with more details. thanks for any help

depends on the deductible you have. if you have a $1000 deductible, then the repairs may be less. if you have a deductible of $500, then it may be better to report it. of course, your ins co is hoping you take care of it yourself!

You should probably call the insurance company right away and let them know that the car was in an accident. Were police on the scene? Was an accident report filled out? Was a ticket given? If not and it is something you can pay out of pocket and you don't want it to go on your insurance, then don't report it.
