you should be more concerned with the MAKE more so than the manufacturer. a mustang for example would cost you a lot more for insurance than a Taurus. if can be considered a sports car or high performance, it will be more than a sedan. turbos and "SS" trim Chevy's will be a lot more than a "normal" trimmed out vehicle. whatever you buy though, you will pay too much since your 16 and a male. its a crock but that's the way it goes.does a bill of sale get your car registered?

Are you more concerned with cost or coverage? Billy Bob on the corner might get you a good deal on a policy but God help you if you ever have to access the coverage. You might find out that good old Billy Bob is not longer there or he just doesn't want to talk to you. Check out companies with good reputations, it's not going to be easy at you age to find one that wants to take you on as a risk but they do exist.
