Question:
last night i rear-ended someone (my fault). it was one of those "low speed/no damage" that happened, but the guy decided to just let it go. no any form of information exchanged as if nothing happened. my question is did i do the right thing, or should i be worried??
Answers:
Would you take your bosses online traffic school course if he/she asked you??
I'd say no harm, no foul. You didn't flee the scene, the guy told you let it go, don't worry about it. If there was no damage, he doesn't have to pay any money to fix anything; therefore he wouldn't need your insurance info.I don't think you need to be worried. We have had those kinds of things happen to us before and we meant it when we decided to let it go. Not everyone is sue happy.

You are at fault and he choose not to take info, not to make a police report nor inform his insurance. He let you off...why question it? He can't come after you or nothing.for to do so...a police report must be made. Without one...nothing happened. What will Motor Vehicle do? Dui revoked one state only?
no he said there was no damage i wouldn't worry about it, unless of course the police surround you home and u see the swat team on the neighbors roof lol , i believe you are fine don't worry he probably didn't have insurance himself and just wanted to get out of there. If no information is exchanged there can be no negative consequences because he doesn't know who you are, your name, where you live, or what insurance you have.
Have any other motorists noticed this phenomena while driving. Take note next time you are driving?
Why worry?
If information was not exchanged, I'd say you have nothing to worry about. If there is damage to your car and you decide turn it in to your insurance carrier, they will raise your insurance rates because it's considered a fault loss. Let it go.
Done that a few times. I've even let someone else go a few times. If there's no info exchange, there's nothing to worry about. What damage is that other guy going to file, if you don't see any? (Unless it's dark and all that)
Does anyone know a carr insurance company that quotes and lets you print certificate?
Don't worry. Fender Benders happen all the time. As long as no information was exchanged or reports filed you should be alright.More Questions & Answers ...
