You can't rent a vehicle without showing a valid license. And it doesn't go valid automatically just because you now have high risk insurance in place. You need to take the form the insurance gave you along with the receipt for payment of the fines to the court and show it to the state and request your license status be changed to valid.Since 9/11, hopefully they do.
