I would go to the local police department and ask there . They will either refer you to your State vehicle dpt. or perhaps issue a temporary paper so you can drive. ( I hope) ; Always make copies of your wallet info and carry in separate place , just in case it gets lost . Also all your credit cards etc. Both sides should be recorded, front and back .
