Question:
I have just changed car insurers, I have never had a claim in 13 yrs of driving, & my new insurer accepts up to 9 yrs ncb, I requested proof from my previous company, but their maximum is 5 yrs, & even though they have it on record that I had at least 4 yrs when I first insured with them, they will only release the 5 yrs I accrued while insured with them. As a result my quote has just gone up another £60, is there any way I can get proof? (I can't remember who I was insured with before them).

Does a car insurance premium depend on mileage the car has as well being 25 yrs old and older?
As far as I'm aware if they have it on record then you are entitled under the data protection act to a copy of said paperwork.I have a valid FL drivers license, but now live in OH. How long before I have to get an OH license?
You may have to write to request it rather than phone and they may charge an administration fee but I doubt very much whether it would be £60.

Ask them for the note you sent them when they asked for your proof of insurance. Otherwise you may just have to live with it. In theory I've got 17 years, but insurance companies only ever give me a note saying what ttheir max is - 6, 7, 8 or 9.It's ridiculous really...
