Question:
I was caught on camera doing 70 mph in a 60 area. Hands up, my stupid mistake, first offence after nearly 40 years driving. I will have to pay any fine imposed but, paying extra for insurance is sort of a doule whammy. No doubt it will cost extra for insurance now but, roughly how much?

Does any job need to see proof of car insurance?
My sons insurance didn`t go up but his insurance company told him if he hadn't told them about his points his insurance company wouldn't have paid out in a accidentIt won't cost you much for your first 3 points, it's when you start the rack them up that your insurance company rubs it's hands.
Can any body tell me what is the lowest online car insurance company?
makes them go up.......how much you'll have to ask your ins com. It varies.I am looking for the owner of a vehicle Citroen registration j230 hcd in January 2004?
i got loaded 50 pounds on my insurance but it depends who you are with i was like you so angry asked why this was and they said i was classed has a high risk driver i was doing 42 in a 30 so so hucking sadNot much if you have had no claims in addition to your previously exemplary driving record. My suggestion would be to call the court and find out if there is some way you could avoid the points. Driving school, probation, etc. Some judges/magistrates would also be willing to lower the charge to a non-moving violation if you ask. There are many ways to get out of the points, but you will still have to pay the fine and court costs.
Are there any auto insurance companies in the state of Virginia that offer glass coverage?
most policies allow for one speeding fine, i think you'll be ok with nothing to worry about, check it though - even if it is it'll be peanuts (unlike a drink drive whammo)My friend got a dwi in my car, is my insurance going to go up?
Your increase for only one point would be fairly small. If you want to not have any increase, go have your speedometer tested by an independent mechanic No speedometer ever reads right on the money, so just show the paperwork to the court clerk, showing that your speedometer is inaccurate, and most states will change the court findings to "defective speedometer", even tho' the speedo might show your speed as faster than actual. The cost of the testing is probably about the same as the increased insurance premium, but it won't be adding on for years, like the points will.My lisence got revoked in the state of colorado. now that i moved to texas can i get a new lisence?
Most insurance companies don't even bother about the first three points!I wouldn't panic about it!

as said already by someone its when you become a repeat offender thats when it begins to sting
your insurance will go up by an average 10% so depends what you are paying now to how much it increases
What happends if I dont pay for these tickets?
Doubt if it'll make any difference at all, if it does it's unlikely to be much. What will be the best thing to do for my 17 year whose going away for college?
You do need to be honest about it (which you're clearly going to be) and tell your insurers if/when you get the points (probably 3). With your record I'm sure they'll not be bothered.
More than likely, it will double your premium. You might try traffic school. You still have to pay the fine, and you have to pay for the course, but the points will be taken off your record, and your premium shouldn't be raised at all.
All depends on the company, average i would say is aprox £30.00, it gets more expesive when combined with other convictions or fault claims, the longer ago the claim or fine the less difference it makes to your premium, bear in mind convictions are declared for upto five years.
