If someone is without a permanent adress what might they be puting on their drivers license?
Can i insure two seperate cars?
I have been able to keep changing my billing adress and keep my fomrer permanent residence (a family members home who I can not get to conveniently) on my Drivers License no problem. This has not been a problem until now, where I need checks to match my ID.
I plan to get my License changed ASAP I just would like to understand what the rules are as far as the adress goes.

Personal registration number ...what do i do now?
As per the DMV in Illinois, you have to show proof of residency to get a license; I would think that the address of your relative would not constitute proof. In most states you have to bring two pieces of mail addressed to you at the address you are claiming (telephone bill, utility bill, etc.). How you've managed to sidestep the reuirement is anyone's guess. I would try to find someplace where you can get settled, receive mail, and then have your license updated.Who wouldve been at fault had there been a collision?
You will have to call the Illinois Department of Public Safety. Each state has its own rules.More Questions & Answers ...
