I need to insure a work truck part time?
Insurance companies will always look for a way out of paying a claim. Here is an example - I know for a fact that a well know insurance company checks the tyre depth before paying out on an engine warranty - the only reason for this is to find the car un roady worthy and not to pay out for the engine fault. More recently I was asked if I was travelling to or from work when I had a car accident - knowing full well that I was not insured for commuting. I wasn't ,but they hoped I was. Some use a 'spy in the sky' aerial photography to 'see' if there is a garage at the address - so if you insure your vehicle as garaged and it isn't- they can use this against you if the claim if large enough. My point is this- my annual milage went over the estimate by 2000mls one year and under by 2000 the next and I let them know (the premium stayed the same for me) If you have a serious accident 'a nice estimator man will come out on behalf of the insurance company ,take a note of your tyre depth first, then your milage second. So it really isn't worth the risk of not being paid out. Will insurance pay for something that is your fault?

It could do, although it is only an estimate the insurance company use the information you supplied to arrive at their insurance premium, it usual states quite clearly on the policy that they must be informed if the mileage is exceededWhat costs would I incur if I cancelled my car insurance accident claim?
