Will I be fined for a lapse of insurance?

12 cumulative points, they last for 3 years for each offense, for a full licence holder, but once you pass your test you only need to get 6 in the first 2 years to face a ban. Since you don;t have a full licence yet I think the 3 years only start counting down once ou have passed your test.

12 as usual but they may revoke your licence. Check the DVLA.org web site.

From my own personal experience, I understand that the points are on your licence for 4 years, and may be taken into consideration by the insurance companies for up to 5 years.
