How much should/can I ask for in a car wreck settlement?

Question:
So I just got a 99 durango in oct. and the other day a girl turned left in a right turn only intersection right in front of me as I was going thru the green light. No one went to the hospital but the front of my car is totally smashed. I just found out my landlord is selling my home and the company I work for is closing. I NEED my car to find work, a new home and move? What am i supposed to do? Can I ask for more money besides what the cost of damage to my car for the inconvience this has put on me? How can I get the best settlement? And all you bleeding hearts out there can spare the bs about of how you think I'm wrong for seeking money for an accident. This was the last thing I needed and I think I should be compensated.

What will happen if I forgot to bring my CA Driver License, and I need to drive in California for 5 days?

If your vehicle is being repaired, you have the right to request "diminished value compensation" from the at-fault driver's insurance. This additional payment makes up for the loss of value associated with a vehicle involved in a wreck as compared with one that isn't.

Does anybody know who to contact about a speeding fine? my licence is addressed at my old house!?

Of course they won't offer it to you; you have to ask.

What should I do about the Road Test?

You deserve to get your car fixed and that is it. You are not injured. You should be able to get a loner while your car is getting fixed. As to getting more, don't even try. It is called fraud and you can and will be prosecuted. You are a perfect example of why we all have to pay more in insurance fees. You want something more than you are entitled to and that is just wrong. And for the record, I am not a bleeding heart. I just don't like to see people trying to milk the system for more than what they deserve.

Wow... .let me tell you how much i love people in the world who want to "PUNISH" the at fault party and somehow feel that if they get money for themselves b/c of "inconvenience" that its the right thing to do.

I do believe you are entitled to the cost of the repairs or the value of the car as well as the cost of renting a car until yours is repaired or resonable time to get anew car.
