Question:
ok, here's the deal. i've had my instructional permit for 5 months, and a couple weeks. i've passed drivers ed, taken the written test, and passed the driving test. and i'm 16 1/2 years old. the only thing that is preventing me from getting my license is that i haven't had my permit for the required 6 months. i was just wondering how many days will they give you leeway on that 6 months. how many days can i go in early and get it? or will they turn me away even if i'm 1 day early? it might depend on the DMV that i go to. the only reason i ask is because i need my license ASAP because of work and sports. thanks a bunch.
Answers:
Must the person who insured the car be present at my driving test?
Theoretically none - you don't need to hold an instructional permit for more than six months as long as you are over 16 when you are applying for the Driver's license. Go ahead and get it and make sure that you are insured when you get in your vehicle!Minor finder bender, 2 weeks later wants a police report?
You needing your license asap will not change the law in Washington state. There is no leeway. If that date falls on a weekend or holiday, you will have to wait for the following business day.More Questions & Answers ...
