Question:
Repo agents, do you use a car's GPS system to locate a car that is to be reposessed? If you answer please tell me if you know for sure, not hypothetically. It is not a criminal activity to be behind in your Lease payments, so can your privacy be invaded by using the navigation system's GPS?

Is it right for 14 year old kids to have their driving permit?
first off we do a lot more then use gps second off as far as being behind on a leased cars payment yes this is a crime actually you see a leased piece of property is the same thing a sa rented property item ie you pay rent on an apartment yet you sign a lease therefore failure to make your payments falls under the laws failure to return rental property a felonyMaybe not criminal to be behind on payments, but certainly criminal to hide the car from repo as they will show up with the local police force when they cut the lock off your garage door and tow it away. ALL sources are used to locate a vehicle under repo contract, including calling and/or dropping by your parents home, your workplace, your friends homes, etc.
PS -- your privacy will not be invaded dude, it's not YOUR car.
Please describe the process of getting a non-drivers license at the DMV?
If a car has Lojack, onstar or some other tracking device then yes but I doubt a repo man could find it if its just a normal GPS system.Usually repo men go through public records, credit agreements and credit reports to find you.
Hit & Run it can happen to you?
Its not criminal but it is breach of contract and can find you in court but yes we can legallyWays to lower my insurance rate?
They will go to your house in the middle of the night, and tow your car away. Do not confront them and get violent. These guys are legally allowed to carry a weapon. Can you have you driving test on a sunday ?
Since they know where you work, your car can and will be taken from there as well.
If there is any kind of "invasion" going on, it's not of your privacy, it's of THEIR car. It doesn't belong to you, and regardless of WHY you missed the payments they don't care. It's a cruel world out there and when the repo man comes along, it's gotta go!

PS: Hiding the car is an arrestable offense. It's now considered STOLEN property if you do.
Actually, it's called embezzlement...when you fail to make payments and then "hide" the vehicle when you've been asked to give the car back or if you know someone's after it. You don't own it, it's not your property--the leasing company is the owner of it-- and YES GPS can be used to find it.
