No, get insurance & present the ID card to the place were you pay the fine.there wouldnt be much of a point, theres nothin a lawyer could say that, wouyld make it seem like you actually did have auto insuarance, they would just act like they were doin you some big favor, when they werent, it would be a total waste of money

Holy hell $1,500 fine for no insurance. Where I live its like $300 to $500 for that. But im in the same boat as you I can't afford the car insurance too if it was affordable I would have it.. But I have been driving for 5 years now and I have never been pull over. But you are better off paying the fine since a Lawyer would be a waste of time and more money then what the fine is. Or do what people normally do get the insurance for 1 month right now and then take the proof to the court house and they will usually drop the fine. I would just say you didn't have the insurance Card on you but here it is.
