Question:
I am currently driving my dad's car and I am covered under his car insurance. If I go car shopping, do I need to bring him with me or have him buy the car in his name in order for it to be covered under his insurance? Or can I just buy it myself and still be covered?

I had a car written off, I fixed it. Can I re insure it? (Ontario, Canada)?
You don't need the car to be in your father's name entirely, but you do need his name on the title as a co-owner if you want to remain on his insurance policy. It varies from state to state what is required to put someone on a cars title and depending on how it is written on the title. For example in Missouri if your car title says Your Name AND Your Father then you are co-owners and both signatures are required to sell the vehicle, but if your title says Your Name OR Your father either of you can it. Your fathers name will definitely be needed on the title and registration for you to stay on the policy.Cost of michigans license plates?!!! customized license plates?
It is going to depend on the company so you need to call them. Can I drive my parents' car without having my name added to the insurance list in the same city?
I represent multiple companies as an agent. Some companies require a separate policy if the vehicle is in the parent and childs name. Some companies don't care who the vehicle is titled to they add everyone in the same household onto the same policy. Other companies will add it to your dad's policy if it is titled in both names.
When you give a deposit for car insurance do you get that money back?
Call your dad's insurance agent and ask them. They are the only ones that can give you the right answer.
