Question:
How much does a demerit point affect the insurance in premium outflow? I mean if I get a point how much more would I pay in insurance per month?
Also which carrier is the best for point heavy drivers? Thank you
Answers:
.
i like state farm insurance. I have them for auto. if you have not had any tickets or accidents in the last 36 months you should be ok. call your local agent. if you have tickets or accidents try an indepenent like aig, geico, drive.
Car Insurance and Reg. in a different state?
It depends upon what kind of a ticket it was. A running a red light is the same as a regular speeding ticket on insurance premuims. But a major speed could be consider a lot more. A reckless driving in some states are as bad as a DUI. On the average a regular ticket runs about 5 to 15 a month, depends upon your age too.Do truck drivers get overtime pay?
If you have alot of tickets, or a lot of points against your record, please call an independent agent to find the best deal. They will represent what we call non-standard companies, that are for people with tickets or accidents or not had any insurance or had a break in their coverage. They could even run your licenses to see what is showing up and what isn't. Good luck with it, remember independent agent, they are your little agencies, not your name brand, big named companies, but the companies are just as good when you need a claim filed for you.
