Question:
My husband and I just bought an older truck as a second vehicle. We need to transfer the title into his name, and we heard there is a new way they figure up how much you pay to do that. At one time, you walked in with a bill of sale and said "I paid this much for this vehicle" and they went by that. Its a 1984 Ford pickup. Thanks if you can help.

That depends upon your state. Most states charge a sales tax of between 3% and 7%. A few states don't have sales tax. Then there will be $10 - $20 for the title and $20 - $50 for the tags. Call your local DMV office. They'll hook you up.How do you take a good driver license photo!?
It depends on your state - you can probably find out online at your state's DMV website. Good luck.what is the normal rate for car insurance for drivers between 18 and 25?
In some States like Arizona, you pay nothing, in other states, like Michigan.you pay a % of the sale price, unless you and the seller work out a double Bill of Sale. One for you, and one for your Motor Vehicle Division. Yours being the real price, and the other being a trumped down price. Some states have a basic value tax guide, so you won't have to calculate diddly, nor will you need a bogus double Bill Of Sale. Just a fat wallet, and a desire to pay more BS taxes that are being wasted in foreign lands and profiting the rich elite.More Questions & Answers ...
