How long doe it take to process a first provisional licence?

Question:
ive just applied for my first provisional licence and i was wondering how long it takes to process the application.
my mates said it takes 6 weeks, but my parents say it will only take 2 weeks, does anybody know the real waiting time?

it took mine 4 days to come back first they send back your I.D then a day or so later you get your licence it was really quick
