How do I go about getting a copy of the Title to our home.?

Bought a car from a friend that was selling it for landlord, said that he would get title in a couple of days?

Go to your town or county clerks office. There should be a recorder of deeds or a lister. They will be able to give you a copy. There may be a charge for the copy. Actually, if you live in a pretty populated area, a copy of your deed (may only be a property transfer though) may be online (it is public record). If you call the county or town clerk, they would be able to tell you this.

It should have been handed to you upon closing. Try the local recorder of deeds.
