Question:
Photocopy of lost document is available with me.
Answers:
who has the best auto insurance?
You can usually order a duplicate online. Go to www.google.com and google "State DMV", for example, I live in Florida, so I would need to googe "Florida DMV". The information should be on the website on whether or not you can request a duplicate online or not. Since you have a photocopy, you already have all the information you need, the drivers license number and your social security number/TIN. They don't need to photograph you, they keep a copy of your last photograph in their records. Most states don't require you to make a trip to the DMV to renew your registration, tags, pay your taxes, renew or reissue your license, etc, anymore. It's just new registrations, tags, taxes, new licenses, etc.Has anyone had one of those 134 point checks done by the RAC or AA?
Depends on the state, call up your DMV and ask.I agree with Herschel K. You may also claim a hardship.
After getting a blue slip on a car how long have you got till you have to register it...?
You need to go to the department of motor vehicles for your state. Let them know that your license is lost and apply for a new one... No way around going because they need to photograph you. As for the photocopy, that is not a valid ID for the police, credit purchases, anything you may need notarized etc. Sorry, gotta go face the local dmv.My car got totalled in an accident, insurance company wants to buy it. My 21 yr. old son has the same problem. He got stopped by a cop who asked to look at his driver's license...and never returned it!Who should I see? Chiropractor or Orthopaedic doctor?
And get this, the cop has no "memory" of this! Yeah right.
I was in an accident this morning, do you think my insurance will cover me?
I agree that the solution is to call your DMV and ask what the procedure is to replace a lost license.hOW TO FIND OUT IF A CAR IS STOLEN?
This happened to me a few years ago in Connecticut. The DMV told me to go to a DMV office, fill out the lost license form, pay the fee, get a picture taken, and walk out the door with a replacement license.
I did all that, and now I have two licenses, since the missing one turned up. I wonder whether I'm supposed to turn that one in.

Depending on the state you live, you will need other verification to prove who you are. NJ has a 6 point system of ID's. Photo copies are not an official identification. Originals are necessary ID purposes, and in most states, they need to be "official government issued documents. No hospital Birth Certificates but the one issued from your state or county. Credit cards are almost useless in most states as ID. Tax forms, military ID. Most states have cracked down on ID;s because of 9/11.
Go on line for your state, they should be able to give you exactly what you will need to bring in to get a duplicate license.
