how do you claim a abandon vehicle?

No in most cases. if it is faxed direct to the post office, from your insurer, with prior arrangement with your post office, this is the only time they will ocnsider a fax. Simply due to fraud prevention, as a fax you recieve can be scanned and copied. if your insurer says they can use a fax, they are trying to fob you off, as it is rubbish.
