When you say "invalid" do you mean it has been revoked or suspended? The answer would be no. Years ago, maybe. But since the computer era, all states are cross-referencing their driving records and a suspension in one state will carry over to another state preventing you from gettign a new license.Welcome to the 1950s.

If by invalid you mean suspended, no, you can't. Once you have a suspended license in one state, it's suspended in all states. Even if you like and claim to have never been licensed, once they run your name and social security number the suspension will come up. Plus you can't get a license in a state unless you are a resident of that state anyway.
