Florida to Georgia Drivers Licence?

Question:
Does anyone know if you turn in a Florida Driver's licence to Georgia, if Georgia reports back to Florida DMV that the licence was surrendered? I know GA is one of four of five states still not on any kind of a centralized system. Basically, I am trying to keep two drivers licences for a short period of time. I am not asking for moral judgement hear just facts. I know if it were the other way around Florida would notify Georgia, but Florida is on the centalized system and GA is not. I would especially like to hear from any trucker's that have experience with this. Thanks very much.

I'm pretty sure you have to surrender your Florida license at the time you get the Georgia license. I moved from Florida to Alabama and I had to hand over my Florida license to get my Alabama license.
