Question:
Last fall I hit a raccoon really hard and it ruined my front spoiler and my radiator, the damage was under my deductable so I decided to just buy the parts on my own. Since I don't drive the car in the winter I parked the car over the winter I decided to just put the car into storage and buy the parts in the spring, so I bought the parts, installed them and now I found out that my motor is ruined from the car overheating after I hit the raccoon. and its going to cost a ton of money to get everything fixed on this car. Would I be able to claim something like this even though it happened 6 months ago?

Where do i take my driving test for cdls in arkansas?
I hope you have been with your company a long time. Often adjusters are very TIGHT and will not like that you have sat on this. Claim it ASAP. If you have an agent pose this question to him/her first. But given you have lots of damage, what else can you do? Your explanation is reasonable to me ie not driving in the winter. Ck your policy to see if you had the duty to let them know within a certain claim filing period. Take care of ASAP since you are near to 6 months. Who knows, that might be your claim reporting limit.Dont even mention the extra 4 miles to your house. It hopefully isnt even relevant.
You can turn the claim in & explain what you wrote here, but you may have to take it one step further and prove the overheating is a direct result of hitting a raccoon. If you can do this, you're golden.
I cant imagine your motor is ruined after 4 miles, but i'm no mechanic. Where and how did you get it to storage? My opinion is it wouldnt be covered because you should have been able to tell if it got that hot; a light or smell?? They would probably pay for the other damage under comprehensive; maybe no deductable.
