Question:
I had purchased a car 6 years ago, however after losing my husband and child in a car accident a couple of years ago quit driving. I let the insurance and registration lapse as it was not being driven and was stored (the car was paid off). Now I want to sell it, however need a copy of my car title, I can't find it... I now live in BC and had my brother haul the car here.. can I get a copy of the title in BC when the car was purchased and registered in Alberta? Where do I go to get it? Can a BC dealership get a copy of it?
Answers:
earsed a column in a title dmv wont register my car waht i do?
not too much of a problem , motor vehicles in B.C. will be able to find out the vehicle was last registered in Alta. and with a copy of your death certificate there will be no problems if it was jointly registered, do you still have a copy of the pink slip ? do you recall the address of where you resided when it was last insured / registered ? in cases like this the bureaucracy actually does have compassion . sorry to hear about your lossMore Questions & Answers ...
