Statute Of Limitation For A Auto Accident In Texas?

Question:
A little while ago I was in a very minor fender bender in a restaurant drive-thru(Other persons fault). I got a quote for the damage a few weeks after the accident but haven't had time to contact the at-fault person. So I was wondering, how long do I have, from the time of the accident, to contact the person with the estimate for the damages?

What are the different types of auto insurance?

A few details-I had 2 friends in the car with me. She was by herself. I didn't contact the police. There were no other witnesses. There was no bodily injuries sustained.

Decent looking vehicle, good gas mileage, low car insurance? &Where to find good car insurance rates??

Thanks for the help

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS contact the police, so you can have a legal record of the incident and damage. I think you are OK with the time frame for now, as long as it hasn't been a year or two. But what if she doesn't answer her phone now, or starts avoiding you. She could be a responsible person, but if she's not, you might have to pay for the damages yourself, and then drag her to small claims court. Witnesses and all. If it does go that far, it does sound like you have a good case. Good luck.
