An insurance company introduced a pay as you drive insurance policy. Who is the maker of the gps device?

Question:
I've searched the web but can't find the information anywhere. The insurance company licenced the pay as you drive technology from a US company. What with a recent report out on road congestion, this means that a gps type device would need to be fitted to every car to track the distance travelled, where and when the car went. Who are the manufacturers of these devices?
