Question:
does uninsured and underinsured mean the same or different? also, the policy says you have 10 days after notice to be sent out and they will still pay. Also are the ins. company liable until if you deside to pay within those 10 days? What if you have an accident within the 10 days? before being reinstalled?

I want to call my insurance company AIG and ask to reduce my car insurance how can i do this?
Uninsured motorists coverage is coverage for you if an uninsured motorist causes an accident that causes you bodily injury and/or property damage. In some states it can also mean a hit & run accident where you do not know the person that hit you. Underinsured motorists coverage is coverage for you when the party that caused the accident carries limits of liability that do not cover your damages. In both cases, your insurance will pay for your damages and try to collect from the other person personally (payment plan, garnishing wages, liens, etc). It sounds to me that you are talking about a cancellation notice on the 10 day part. What that says is that if you do not pay your bill by the due date, the company has to give you at least 10 days notice. They will normally send out the cancellation notice (with "proof of mailing") a day or 2 after the due date that the bill was not paid. They will give you another 10 days to pay. If you do not pay within that 10 days (some companies use the postmark date as the payment date, some companies use the RECEIVED date so be careful), then the policy is CANCELLED. When in doubt, pay your agent because payment to the agent is considered payment to the company. Anything that happens after the cancellation date is NOT covered. Be careful about the cancellation date because most companies cancel the policy at 12:01 am which means only 1 minute after midnight on the date on the notice, so to be within the 10 days notice, you have to be sure your payment is postmarked (or received depending on the company) by the day BEFORE the date on the notice. They have to cover any incident before the cancellation date. You must also be careful on renewal because the 10 day cancellation notice time does not apply. Some companies' (like assigned risk or Progressive) policies just expire on the renewal date if not paid BEFORE the renewal date. Many companies give the same cancellation notice time on renewal. If in doubt about this, call your agent. Just so you know, a policy is REINSTATED (not reinstalled) when paid after the cancellation notice is issued but before the cancellation date.Uninsured means if you are hit and damaged by someone who has no insurance at all, your insurance will pay you and then try to collect from the person without insurance. Under insured means they have insurance, but not enough to cover your damages, and again your insurance will make up the difference. I have no idea what they mean by the 10 day comments. Ask your agent.
Is it legal for a car insurance company to cancel insurance withought notification?
Different. Uninsured means that no insurance is carried. Underinsured means that some insurance is carried, but it is in some sense not sufficient.Uninsured means insurance was not/is not available for the vehicle.
Car insurance for 16 year old boy missouri?
Underinsured means there isn't enough coverage on the at fault drivers side to cover ALL damages incurred.
What are you talking about 10 days? For what? Notification of the accident? Your policy being cancelled?
