Question:
I need to get info on a vehicle last registered in Michigan. I need to contact the DMV (or whatever they call it there). Every time I try to locate a phone number I get transferred to the secretary of state web sites. Can anyone help? Thanks in advanced.

Why do insurance companies care about your credit score?
In Michigan there is no "DMV" all vehicle registration and licensing is handled by the Secretary of State.http://www.michigan.gov/sos/0,1607,7-127...
If you're requesting information on a vehicle they do have a title search dept that for a fee will provide information.

How can i gain access to a tag number on a persons vehicle?
From the Secretary of State Website:
Title Histories:
Vehicle title and registration histories can be purchased through the Record Lookup Unit. If you do not have an account with the Department of State, you must complete a record request form each time you request a title history. (Use form BDVR-153 if you are requesting your own record, or form BDVR-154 if you are requesting another person’s record. See below.) Each transaction in a history is billed at $7.00 and must be paid in advance* with a personal check, money order, or credit card (Discover, VISA, or MasterCard). A certified copy of a record is available for an additional $1.00 fee.
. . .
NOTE: You must include the license plate number, registration number, or the vehicle identification number (VIN).
**Also note that they do not give out this information over the phone, you have to complete the form in order to get info. They do have a number to call for help in completing the form and I assume they would be able to at least answer for you if the information you're looking for is something they'll even be able to provide, or if you'd have to use a different form or dept within the Secretary of State. Good luck.
Can I get 2 tickets for the same issue?
"If you need assistance in completing the form, please call 517.322.1624."
Car accident in California with no insurance. What do do now?
Go to msn yellow pages and type in dmv to see if you can locate a number that way. www.msn then click on yellow pagesCall the Highway Patrol. If you ask them to look it up for you, they might. Remember to be extra polite and they might go out of their way to help when you explain the situation. If anyone would have info on a vehicle, they should!! Good luck.
