Who bears financial respondsibilty in accident after being hit by an unlicensed driver?

Question:
We were hit by an unlicensed driver, and the police report has determined it to be my fault, even though, the car that hit me pulled out of a turning lane at the last minute, and hit me as I pulled out.How can an unlicensed driver be covered,if it's illegal for them to be driving in the first place?

Is there any way 2 AVOID losing your CDL after getting into and accident with no insurance?

Hire an attorney and let the courts settle it. You have two problems:
1. The ticket is a criminal matter, and if the unlicensed driver was not on the road there would not have been an accident.
2. The property damage and liability is a civil matter. Courts and insurance companies will look very hard at who was found at fault, and if you don't fight the ticket, you could end up paying for the damage to both vehicles and your insurance rates will go up. Your insurance company should work with you very closely on this matter.

How much does it cost to renew license plates on a car?

Dont hire an attorney.. the guy who said that is a joke... why spend money when you already have a car insurance company to work for you? Depending on the state... and if you are at fault.. your insurance may or may not cover the other driver. (some states cover uninsured drivers damages.. others dont) Your insurance company will first do a liability investigation to see if they even find you at fault for the accident (police report alone does not determine liability)

I had a car written off, I fixed it. Can I re insure it? (Ontario, Canada)?

as far as your feelings about paying out to someone uninsured... trustme.. i work for an insurance company and i HATE paying otu to uninsured drivers.. but its not insurance companies decision to make.. they have to follow state laws

Anyone wanna pay for me to get my drivers licence?

The person at fault bears financial responsibility. Just report this to your insurance, and let them do the determination if you have limited liability due to the other person not being insured. But since you were found at fault, despite the other persons status, your insurance will be paying something out.

Can you get insurance with a suspended license?

You will have to bear the responsibility. I think you should contact an attorney to assist you or find out your rights. As someone without a driving license shouldn't be on the road. And if the driver wasn't on the road, you wouldn't have had the accident. I listed a resource below that may help. I posted a blog below that has a lot of resources on auto insurance and uninsured, unlicensed drivers.
