DVLA say that I have never had a full driving licence?
If you list your mother as your spouse to get cheap rates, that will be fraud and you will not have coverage if you need it.Just scratched a car in a car park...?
There is no such thing as cheap insurance for a sports car with a driver I'm assuming under the age of 25. It's part of the cost of driving. If you want cheaper rates, consider a 4 door Buick LeSabre or a Ford Taurus of about 85 to 90 vintage.
You need to put your relationship as Child if your mom is head of household. Some insurance companies will rate the highest driver on the highest vehicle on down. You may want to consider having your mom add her auto onto the policy. It will more than likely get you a discount on yours and may save you enough that you could pay for both less than what just the one was.
If you have a B average or better and you are a full time student, check with companies that advertise good student rates. Also talk to your counselor at school. They should know what companies out there give you better rates. If you have a loan on a car, then you will have less options to lower your rates than if you own it outright.
