Can a judge grant a personal injury claim more amount than what is covered by my auto insurance ?
You will have to have the DMV do a title search, contact the previous owner and have it turned over. The laws vary from state to state on this. In some states (GA, for instance), if the vehicle is over a certain age, you don't need a title to get it registered! Many people get new titles by "laundering" a vehicle in this way...Why Insurance company say My 94 geo Prism is not worth fixing, and I have full coverage insur.?
Try the DMV they should be able to print you up a title depending your situationAbout how much is RV insurance?
you will apply to the DMV in your state for a lost title applicationthey will then do a search at the state capitol of all records on that car and send you a title and it cost money to do it.
Do you have a release of interest from the owner of the car? Has it been abandonded on your property? If so, you can go through the Public Disclosure unit, and receive info to send a certified letter to the last owner on record. Once you receive the letter back unopened, take it and go to the DMV to apply for the title. If the car is ten years old or less, an odometer disclosure form needs completed also. Some states carry a "registration only", status, where you would have the car legally and could drive it for a period of three years. After the three year period, you would apply for the title, and the "registraton only" status would be removed. All states don't have this option, so you will need to call the DMV in your area to find out. Someone else discussed "laundering" the title, laundering is completely different than the situation you are describing, and is illegal.
