Well, Duh! If you're driving with an expired license, you may as well drive without it at all. Naturally, if you're involved in an accident, you'll be cited for having no license. This, in turn. will cause your insurance rate to go up and up and up; the insurance company may well (rightly) refuse to pay the claim, which is a whole other problem! Sheeesh!yes as you are not licenced to drive get real
In UK cars can be driven just by their owner?
If you have an expired license, you shouldn't be driving. Since you agree to obey all laws when you get insurance, and driving with an expired license is not obeying the law, your insurance has a very good reason for not covering your accident. If you hadn't been illegally driving there would not have been an accident. So, who is at fault here? They said i'm lost in the system, what do i do now?
I am afraid that you technically have no insurance as your current licence is invalid. I suggest that you stop driving until your licence is sorted or you could be prosecuted.I was in a car accident Saturday, could I have some advice?
Well, if your licence is lapsed, you are not authorized to drive. Depending on the wordings of your policy, and the state you are in, you may be denied coverage. On my policy, for instance, if I were to be carrying BASIC coverage only, I have to be qualified and authorized to drive to have coverage. Qualified means knowing how to drive, to have passed a driving test. Authorized means holding a current licence. If I carry higher coverages than basic, which I do, I have to be qualified or authorized. So, If forget to renew my licence, and am in an accident shortly after, I will be covered. (Of course, I will still get the ticket for driving without a licence.) It may or may not be the same where you are.If it is out of date then you don't have a legal driving licence - yes it affects it.
Silly question,of course it does.
