Are there any laws applying to the guarantee that a garage must give for the work that they carry out? Have you any useful links about this matter?

Garages are subject to the "Supply of Goods and Services Act", just like anyone else.Depends on your State.
What state if in the US, territory, or country? Until we know that, we can't tell you much.
How long for a settlement check for bodily injury & how much?
If a garage as carried out work on any car that car must be road worthy when it comes out of the garage .How can i schedule a written exam in driving a car in montreal?
The sale of goods act and relevant laws attatched to it govern the quality of repairs. Of course it always depends on what you instructed the garage to do, eg if you told them to change the timing belt but a week later the timing let go due to the tensioner letting go then they wouldn't be responsible unless you told them to do the tensioner.Am I allowed to sell salvaged/retired license plates?
THAT depends on the state you live in.In the UK they don't have to offer any guarantee at all; the only legal requirement is that the work must be carried out in a "competent and workmanlike manner", or words to that effect.
Any guarantee is an "extra" which they offer to obtain & retain your business.
