California Driving Records shows accident?

Question:
I had a minor accident and not my fault, I reported to DMV this accident when the damage is over $500. The driving record shows that accident, how can I know it's not my fault. It only listed as REPT CODE: 1. Anyone knows this code meant. Thank you.

The driving record report in California is intended only to serve as a piece of your vehicle history report, and is not intended to assess or document at-fault. You're required to fill out the form if there is a critical injury or death involved, or if the damage to the vehicle is in excess of a cetain amount, regardless of whether or not you were responsible for the incident.

The report codes are probably nothing more than numbers that separate out the relative severity of the incident. That way, organizations such as consumer-safety researchers can ask for info from the DMV related to your incident in a way that lets the DMV keep your private information private.
