I've just got a worktruck (GMC Vandura 3500 with a 14 by 7 by 7 work box) The truck is for hauling props,backgrounds and camera equpment and will probaly sit at the studio 90% of the time. Is there a way of insuring my truck ONLY when its on the road?

About 8 years ago my stepfather had several cars in a collection which even included a Fire Truck (a lot of fun, but that's another story). He had a blanket policy that let him pay a basic fee and then simply garage the unused ones for damage coverage only (ie: The garage burning down)
When he needed to drive one he simply called the agent and notified them by voice mail. He was then covered until he notified them otherwise and he would receive a premium for that time. This was IN ADDITION to the car that he normally kept insured. That one stayed on all the time despite the fact that he obvioulsy could only drive one car at a time.
