Insurance co go back how many years in driving record?
I just went through this myself.First ...are you moving from out of state? If you are there are more things you need to do and for me it was a real thorn in my side. I wished someone would have been able to help me out on this.
Moving from out of state...contact your financial institution if you are financed for your car is the first step. Ask them a fax number that the DMV can request for the title. Most institutions only will release the title to either Harrisburg DMV or a "AAA" agency. They do not release to any other companies.
From there they have 10 days to get the title to them. You will then need to go back and have your car(s) with so they can go out and verify the vin numbers. You then will get your plates.
The next thing (which I never had to do in the states I lived in before) is you must get your car inspected and have an emmissions test done within 10 days from the time you pick the plates up. You also must have proof of insurance and must have your PA driver's lic. first before any of this can be done.
If you are already a PA resident and own the car.LUCKY YOU! All you need to do is bring your title with and proof of insurance and your on your way.
