Green card for France, only valid for 60 days. How or can it be extended ?

Question:
I have to go to France for 120 days, i am taking my car which is U.K. registered. I have now been told that a green card can only be issued to cover me for 60 days during any 12 month period. Is there any way that i an increase it to cover me up to the 120 days that i will be there?

Answers:

After being involved in a car accident how much compensation would i get at the most?

A green card provides evidence of cover, nothing more. The cover you have will be the same cover that you had in UK, at the end of 60 days the cover will revert to the minimum that applies in france, probably third party only.

I got a speeding ticket...is there a way to get around my insurance company so they dont find out?

The 60 day rule is the rule of your insurers. It is not likley that you will be ale to buy comp cover in france for a UK registered car for 60 days

Car Insurance - full no claims discount has expired, are there any deals where I can a reasonable quote?

You will have to get it insured in France when you are there
