Before your husband pays for this truck, ask to see the registration on the vehicle, he can then take it to dmv, and check to see what is up with the paperwork. He can then apply for a new title in his name. To be on the safe side ask the previous owner for a copy of his drivers license, and a payment stub from the back. Hope he bought it cheap, it will be alot of work on the papers before he can start to work. If it was me, I would check with your local state board of equalization to make sure all fuel taxes are up to date.

If u get in an accident w/ a lease, and ur ins, company is taking care of it, do u tell the dealership?

Two things you always do before purchasing a semi-truck are checking for a "clear" title and making sure the "road tax" is paid in full! You will have a tough time with the title and if the previous owner owes highway use tax, you now owe it! You CANNOT register the truck until both are met!

If I purchase a vehicle in TN, what do I need to do to be able to drive vehicle back to Illinois?

Ok... So I need a little help and advise on how I should approach someone who owes me a couple hundred dollars

So you purchased a truck without a title, so many things wrong with this situation, I'm not going to go into all the details, but here's the short version. Do you have a bill of sale? Is it notorized, and dated? Did you purchase the cab, or the trailer also? Has the truck been running under prorate plates, or is it owner/operator? Get the VIN, go to the DMV and ask if the title is held in that state. If so, is there a lender? If they say yes, then you have a semi that is worthless to you, because you have to get the title from the lienholder, and they aren't going to release without having the loan paid in full. You can contact the lender requesting the release of interest and the title, but if the loan isn't paid, it's doubtful that you are going to want to pay off the loan. You have a mess, that's going to take some time to resolve, if you are able to. Buyer beware, that's it.

What are the things that i need to know for talking my driving permit test?

Check with local DMV, commercial division, and have them help you look up the title, then give them the bill of sale (copy!) and have them transfer the title to your name.

Florida dept motor vehicles with vin find registorant?

Remember, you'll need to pay a LOT of insurance on a semi, and if you go interstate, you need to register with DOT, and always keep proper logbooks!
