Question:
I've heard from several sources that in Tennessee, if you are involved in a motor vehicle accident and you are at fault and you were not carrying adequate insurance, your license will be suspended. Are there any situations where this did not happen? Also, if that person moved to another state, would they be able to get their licensed in that state or would they have to pay for the damaged vehicle/s first?
Answers:
How long do you have to pay the fee for a lapse in car insurance coverage?
You can't get a license in another state if it is suspended in your home state. I would suggest getting insurance now before court. You may want to try a website that compares multiple companies at once to get you the best price. I am paying less than ½ after I did.If I accompany a learner driver in their car, do I have to be insured for that car as well?

I got a speeding ticket...is there a way to get around my insurance company so they dont find out?
Stupid question.what do u think?Have any other motorists noticed this phenomena while driving. Take note next time you are driving?
you can not get a lic anyplace if you have one suspendedHow expensive is car insurance under my own name rather than my Mom's name?
Hey there I have never been in an accident but my brother has and he didn't have insurance and he still to this day is still paying for it and he don't have his license back...If he moves to another state it ill come up he has a suspended license...So yes it does have to be pd off first..Maybe if you need your license for a job go to courts and ask if you can get a permit to drive to and from work..If you can in your state...Hope this helps and good luck to you! This is true. And moving to another state to get a license, won't work. All states share info about driver's, you would need to clear up the incident and pay all the fines, before you could get a suspended license back. You also will be required to carry SR22 insurance for at least three years. This is high risk insurance, expensive.
