Question:
I am purchasing a vehicle in Michigan and am driving it back into Ontario, Canada. Ontario will not give me temporary plates without having the original title, etc. I will not have those until I purchase the vehicle.
I am told I need to get temporary plates in Michigan which will allow me to drive it back in Ontario also.
Gap insurance and full coverage?
I phoned the Secretary of State and was told I need proof of insurance to get them. Do I just take my current pink insurance slip to the SoS and they should give me the plates? The insurance is under my mothers name so would that be a big deal? The address and everything else (last name, etc.) match up on the insurance slip.
Thanks guys!

What do i do if something on my driving record is wrong?
You will need a clear title signed over to you (no liens) and proof of insurance on the car that you are purchasing. The VIN number can be obtained from the seller and given to your insurance agent over the telephone.I am holding a Texas driving license, Can i buy a car in virginia and register my car in virginia ?
You will need the incurance certificate for the vehicle you are purchasing. It should state the correct VIN number. If the insurance is in your moms name, you might need a aphadavid allowing you to conduct business on her behalf. If the insurance has you listed as a driver of the vehicle you should be fine. Is the car going to be titled in your name or your moms name. If it is in your moms name you will need the aphadavid allowing you to conduct business on her behalf, unless mom comes with you.Contact your agent and have an insurance card issued specific to the vehicle, so the VIN will match. If the insurance is in mom's name, have her sign a statement that you are authorized to drive the vehicle, and have it notarized.
