Post Grad Student Importing Car to UK?

I am moving to UK in September as a post grad student and i would like to know if it is easy for me to get Temporary Importation on my car. I will be there for 3 years and i really love my car and do not want to drive LHD cars.

Can after the settlement refuse to the offter, that was agreed at at that time due to unfairness?
